Trapcall has proven to be a godsend for many a subscriber to it’s services, particularly when it comes to those unknown blocked calls that are received carrying harassing messages. Fortunately, you can unmask those private numbers and also have the ability to record their unwanted or bullying messages, then possibly use the recordings as proof of harassment when seeking to report them to the authorities.

Sandy asks…
I need to know how to unmask a private caller who left a message on my phone but my phone is a cricket?
Does trapcall support my phone company yet

TrapcallReviewer answers:
I can’t see why using “call forward no answer” would not be compatible with cricket http://www.mycricket.com/cricketsupport/faqs/details?id=491&fromsearch=1
that is the method that you use to send the call from your phone to trap calls toll free number, where it obtains the ANI info of the caller, and then sends the call back to you…
It is worth a try…
Other then that, if trapcall will not work for you, there is no way to unmask a private caller…

Lisa asks…
Can I call the police about this?
Today, I received about 5 prank calls from the same exact people. I have Trapcall so it shows their numbers. After that, I received over 100 duplicates of the same exact message from the same phone number for about 20 minutes. Could this be considered harassment and can I call the police about this?

TrapcallReviewer answers:
Yup….call the police and show them all your evidence. When they ask you if you want to file charges…don’t back down and tell them no. File harassment charges against this or those creeps and make a very strong point.

Paul asks…
how to find out the number from a *67 caller?
This number called me on *67, how do i find out the number?

TrapcallReviewer answers:
It might take a few days but just remember what time and day they called you, then go online and log into your carrier account and check it out.

Charlie asks…
Can I get this guy in trouble?
In the past, I’ve gotten harassing calls from a person who asked me sexual questions. At the time I was under 18 and reported it to the police twice. This person blocked their number so there was nothing that could be done. If they do call me again though (I am somewhat expecting them to), and I’m able to unblock the number using trapcall, can they be charged with what they did in the past, since there’s no way to prove it was them or what they said? It’d kind of just be my word against his, and I’d only be able to identify them by their voice and familiar phrases.

TrapcallReviewer answers:
I’m not entirely sure, perhaps not in the US legal system. But If I were you I’d collect as much evidence as you can of the current harrassment calls etc. Being able to unmask calls with Trapcall will definitely assist you in gathering evidence like phone numbers and here’s a tip, trapcall even has the ability to record those blocked calls for you, this feature comes with the Bear trap option, might prove very useful in your case. I wish you all the best Charlie.
